Rookie Program
CHASE SIGNS AND GRAPHICS ROOKIE PROGRAM All Chase Signs and Graphics Rookie candidates will receive points for all WDRL races they attend toward the Chase Signs and Graphics Rookie of the year Championship. Drivers do not have to start the A-Feature to receive points. The Chase Rookie candidates that do not start the A-Feature will be awarded Chase Rookie points based on their race finish position.
Points will be tabulated after each race and there will be a point fund to be paid at the annual Awards Dinner to the top Chase Rookie finisher in the final points standings. APPLICATION FOR CHASE SIGNS AND GRAPHICS ROOKIE WDRL Late Model Drivers who wish to become candidates for the Chase Signs Rookie Awards program will apply for their eligibility through this letter of application provided by the WORLD Dirt Racing League. The WORLD Dirt Racing League will determine the eligibility of each driver.
After the WORLD Dirt Racing League reviews each application and establishes that the driver is eligible for the Chase Signs Rookie Awards program, the WORLD Dirt Racing League will add that driver to the list of eligible drivers and will award points to that driver at each race they attend based on the Rookie points system. To be eligible for this program the driver must be a member of the WORLD Dirt Racing League and cannot have competed in more than 6 WDRL A-Feature races in any single race season, nor can they have ever won a WDRL A-Feature race. Previous racing experience and achievements in other professional racing sanctioning bodies will have no bearing on the driver’s eligibility. To keep their eligibility as a Chase Rookie candidate, the driver must compete in at least 50 percent of the regular season WDRL Late Model Series point’s events.
A prospective rookie candidate will not begin to accumulate points until they have filled out the required application and have been accepted by the WORLD Dirt Racing League as a candidate for the Chase Rookie Award program. Events run prior to application and acceptance will not be counted.
